Re-sending IPN from Paypal

When you run out of credits on your tournament, the IPN (Instant Payment Notification) messages from your Paypal account will be ignored by the STRONGVON server, so your pending registrations that later get paid will not be automatically processed through to the Approved list without credits. When you purchase more credits, only new IPN messages for new payments will be processed. IPN messages for payments that came in during the time you had zero credits will not get processed. You have two choices to get those older pending registrations processed:

1. Manually approve the pending registrations from your pending list. Read section 7 of this document:

2. Resend these IPN messages from your Paypal account login.

To resend the IPN messages, follow these instructions:

1. Log into your Paypal account on

2. Select “Profile and Settings” from the top right of the screen as shown below.


3. Select “My Selling Tools” from the left side.

4. Locate the “Instant notification section” section under “Getting paid and managing my risk”, and click on Update link on the right side of the section, as shown below.


5. This opens the settings for Instant Payment Notifications, where the Notification URL is configured. Ensure that the URL is set to “” as shown in the below screenshot.

6. Click on the link “IPN History page” which appears above the Current settings. This opens the window where you can resend the IPN messages.


7. Search for the IPNs during the period that you had zero credits. Use the date/time range if you know exactly which dates and times.

8. Place a checkbox next to all of those IPN messages in that date range, and then click on the “Resend Selected”.


9. You will be prompted to confirm that you want to resend these messages, so acknowledge that risk. STRONGVON will not double process IPN messages, messages that have already been processed will be ignored.
